FIFO Dentist Officer – General Practitioner
The PNG Recruiter Limited is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and experienced FIFO Dentist Officer – General Practitioner. Our client is a growing Integrated Health Clinic Company committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services to individuals, families, and corporate clients.
Position Location: Base in Port Moresby – Roster 4 weeks shift On Site /2 weeks Off Shift.
Employment Type: Project Based Role with Roster 4 weeks On Shift /2 weeks Off Shift – Off shift is no pay.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat under a General Practitioner scope.
• Perform routine dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, and preventive care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Educate patients on oral health, hygiene, and preventive dental care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants and other healthcare professionals.
Qualification Requirement
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent recognized dental qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a General Dentist, will consider new graduates who are successfully registered with the Medical Board.
• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Papua New Guinea (or ability to obtain registration).
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Must have valid police clearance.
Required Skills
• Experience working in private practice or community dental clinics.
• Knowledge of modern dental technologies and digital record systems.
• Experience in preventive and restorative dentistry.
