Our goal is to empower Papua New Guineans with information to win in the world of Job Seeking. Data is kept to oneself for personal gain or is too diverse for the Average Joe to choose what works for them. Therefore, we simplify and tailor info into a relatable and easy-to-understand context for readers to apply in their efforts to obtain employment effectively. We hope the information and ideas shared here will help curb the increase in unemployment in PNG.

So in this video module, we take a look at effective Job Search techniques every Papua New Guinean should have to narrow down their chances of obtaining employment. A lot of job seekers we came across during our time in the field didn’t have these techniques and if they did, it would have opened them up to more job opportunities then they thought they new about at the time. Some are right Infront of us, literally at our fingertips (HINT) but we tend to take for granted every day, contributing to unnecessary stress, anxiety and derailing our job search attempts.
As job seekers ourselves at The PNG Recruiter Limited, these techniques have been used by us and have transformed us from being worried, stressed job seekers to a more confident and assured one. So we guarantee you viewers will experience the same by the time your done watching the video.
That’s all from us, keep checking our stuff out on all our platforms on the below:

In another article by The National Newspaper, it was reported the project “would create 500 fulltime jobs with significant benefits for the people of Gulf” (https://www.thenational.com.pg/first-offshore-gas-deal-signed/ ), as the project will be situated in the Gulf of Papua, Gulf province, making it the first offshore resource project in Papua New Guinea.
Video on the Pasca A Project, presented by Mr. Stephen Quantrill, Executive Chairman of Twinza Oil Ltd at the 2023 PNG Investment & Resource Week.
Most likely and as briefly mentioned above, employment opportunities will most likely be targeted at the landowners (the project is offshore but the supplies and equipment for the project’s construction will come from mainland Gulf Province), it’s still poised to create jobs for greater Papua New Guinea.
PredicatedJob Categories:
While a detailed list of specific job titles has not been publicly disclosed, the following categories of employment are typically associated with offshore oil and gas projects:

The project has set ambitious targets to maximize local employment:
Workforce Composition: Aiming for 80% Papua New Guinean workforce participation within five years of operation.( PNG Facts News)
Supplier Engagement: Targeting that 25% of project suppliers are locally owned businesses, fostering local economic growth. ( PNG Facts News )
Training and Capacity Building:
Twinza Oil has committed to implementing training programs to equip Papua New Guineans with the necessary skills to participate effectively in the project. This initiative is designed to ensure that local workers can take on various roles across different sectors of the project, enhancing their competencies and contributing to the project’s success.
Beyond job creation, the Pasca A project is projected to contribute over K15 billion in revenue to Papua New Guinea over its lifespan, significantly boosting the national economy.
(Disclaimer: For the most current information on job opportunities and recruitment processes, interested individuals should refer to Twinza Oil’s official communications and career portals.)
It’s a no brainer that the management, senior positions will be given to expatriates to provide immediate competent support but the knowledge transfer from them to the locals will be invaluable for such an unprecedented project in PNG’s resource and overall history, so our people need to be on alert and start thinking about how they can tie in their careers and life to absorb the benefits of these projects effectively, as a Landowner, as a person from Gulf Province and as a Papua New Guiean.
